Electrical Engineer

Wright Technical Services is proud to be supporting a leading client in the steel industry with their search for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team. This role plays a key part in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operations by designing, troubleshooting, and improving electrical and control systems across the plant. Job Duties • Design electrical panels, schematics, and control systems • Commission and troubleshoot electrical equipment • Support conceptual design for capital projects • Diagnose electrical malfunctions and provide technical assistance • Lead projects from planning through implementation • Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred) and HMI interfaces • Design, install, and maintain power distribution systems Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering • Strong experience in power distribution, NEC codes, and digital drives (AC/DC) • Proficiency in PLC programming, ladder logic, and HMI systems • Experience in high-volume manufacturing; steel pipe/tube preferred • Knowledge of AC/DC cranes, AutoCAD, and Allen Bradley controls • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and move throughout plant environments
