Wellness Veterinarian - Hillsborough Campus

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wellness Veterinarian to join our team! In this role, you'll provide top-notch preventative care while having the opportunity to perform occasional surgeries. Our AAHA-accredited Animal Health Center, is a full-service, non-profit veterinary hospital committed to delivering affordable, high-quality care to the public six days a week. As Florida's first non-profit animal hospital to achieve AAHA accreditation, we pride ourselves on meeting the critical need for accessible veterinary services in our community. This position is full-time, with benefits, and requires working a weekend day. Education: Must possess a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Experience: Must possess a valid State of Florida license to practice veterinary medicine and have at least one year of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter. Skills: Must be personable, able to communicate with and direct staff and work as a member of a team. Must be able to life 50 pounds on a regular basis. Job Type: Full-time QUALIFICATIONS: DVM Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree Has and maintains a Valid and Current State of Florida Veterinarian License Computer skills required: Internet Software; (Outlook); and Shelter Luv software (or similar software). PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to walk, climb stairs and ladders, run, stoop, bend, stand, push, pull, move and carry heavy objects. Standing for long periods.
