Job Description

Overview As a Loss Prevention Officer, your primary responsibility will be to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with internal control procedures and regulations. You will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the store environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular patrols and observations of key areas, including: Main entrances and exits Restrooms, as necessary Building perimeter Fuel stations Property boundaries Act as a mediator during customer disputes, facilitating conflict resolution. Secure the premises and personnel by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, and controlling access points. Prevent losses by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policies and procedures. Direct traffic as needed to maintain orderly flow. Document findings by preparing detailed reports that include observations, incidents, and witness interviews. Ensure a safe environment by managing building and equipment controls. Uphold the organization’s reputation by adhering to legal requirements. Contribute to team objectives by supporting related tasks as necessary. Be available for work during the busiest retail days. Adapt to a rotating schedule, which includes both day and night shifts. Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality. Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve. Ability to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Experience in retail, customer service, law enforcement, or loss prevention preferred. Must hold a valid Peace Officer license. Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods of 8-12 hours. Capable of frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting items weighing over 40 lbs.
