The Equity Settlement Associate will play a critical role in supporting trade settlement operations, cash management, and specialized functions such as asset servicing, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and resolving complex issues efficiently. The position entails a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension and full-time employment, requiring 2-4 years of experience in securities settlement or capital markets operations, a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, and proficiency in relevant systems and tools.Key Responsibilities: Execute and monitor global securities settlements, managing cash movements and ensuring accurate postings.Provide operational support including guidance on corporate actions, team backup, workflow coordination, quality control, and training initiatives.Maintain strict adherence to regulatory requirements, escalate process risks, and support business continuity planning.Engage in continuous improvement, participating in process enhancements, system upgrades, and data analysis for recommending improvements.Handle risk management efficiently, identifying and escalating any breakdowns in processes. Must-Have Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.Knowledge of BONY systems, NSCC, CDS, DTC/OCC/Arrow, and tools like GEMS, IMatch, Global Framework. Industry Experience: Experience in domestic and international capital markets operations.Familiarity with regulatory reporting and compliance standards (SEC, Client, REG 204 Buy-In).Knowledge of handling restricted shares (Rule 144), DTC Global Lock securities, treasury management, and collateral sourcing for margin is preferred.
