Role OverviewReporting to the Director of Business Insights, this Business Insights Analyst Senior position will collaborate with operational business owners: 1) to estimate cost and utilization impacts of new business initiatives; 2) to establish the evaluation and monitoring plans; and 3) to execute the developed analytic plan, including creation of business insights and associated visualizations. This position is responsible for providing consultative and collaborative Analytics support throughout the lifecycle of a Value Optimization initiative.Work Arrangement This is a 100% Remote position but you must live in EST or CST time zones Responsibilities Supporting ideation by pulling data (e.g. claims) to identify addressable spend associated with an initiative concept / hypothesis Estimating return-on-investment of new initiatives by determining potential impact and analyzing associated claims data and related operational data (e.g., pre-authorization statistics) Creating written business cases, summarizing the results of each sizing analysis, in alignment with audit processes and requirements Providing recommendations on the prioritization of value optimization initiatives, and socializing with cross-functional leadership audience Tracking performance of launched initiatives, including development of reporting on initiative savings and operational KPIs Completion of ad hoc analyses (e.g., summarizing impacts of initiatives in preparation for a stakeholder discussions) Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree (Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Research, or closely related field); Master's Degree or higher preferred At least eight (8)+ years of work experience in the healthcare industry At least five (5)+ years of healthcare analytics experience Ability to demonstrate command of business knowledge by synthesizing multiple, parallel analytic and business insights into a cohesive and compelling narrative Broad knowledge of healthcare payer value chain and medical cost levers Ability to develop compelling documentation to convey insights and recommendations Ability to frame and phrase insights and recommendations for a leadership audience Ability to scope analysis, design a research/analysis approach, and quality check results Ability to frame complex business problems for structured analysis Competency in SQL, Databases, Python, SAS, and statistical analysis Translate complex data and analytic results into business insights Ability to cross functionally manage and coordinate teams Your career starts now.
