job summary: A Construction Project Engineer / Project Closeout Specialist is needed for a leading construction organization in the Columbus, OH area. The Project Engineer / Closeout Specialist is responsible for assisting with the final phase of construction operations, ensuring all finishing touches meet our standards before client handover. You will be responsible for the seamless transition of the project, managing final trade coordination and the resolution of all outstanding project documentation. Your primary goal is to secure formal project acceptance through meticulous management of the final /"punch list/" and close-out tasks. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in a construction or engineering-related field or possess at least three years of equivalent hands-on industry experience. This is a contract role-slated to last year, and our client is only seeking local talent currently. location: New Albany, Ohio job type: Contract salary: $40 - 55 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Manage on-site subcontractors to complete remaining close-out work and ensure all installations align with the final design Finalize and close out all RFIs, change orders, and document updates to provide the client with an accurate record set Oversee the final delivery and installation of any remaining custom fabrication or design elements Perform final quantity surveys and cost estimates to settle outstanding financial accounts and project scopes Utilize BIM tools and construction specifications to verify that the /"as-built/" environment matches the contracted requirements Work closely with field supervisors to mitigate any lingering site issues, ensuring a polished and professional project handover #LI-AA1 qualifications: Experience level: Experienced Minimum 2 years of experience Education: Bachelors skills: Construction Construction Construction Construction Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
