Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - VMWare Specialist

Join our dynamic team as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer specializing in VMWare Administration! In this role, you will assess existing solutions and infrastructures to facilitate cloud migrations, delivering scalable, high-performance solutions that drive next-generation business outcomes. Design, build, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, focusing on security, scalability, and performance while collaborating with developers to create efficient and resilient solutions. Build and deploy new cloud-based computing services at scale for clients and ensure timely provisioning of new hosts. Formulate detailed specifications for network, storage, and compute designs to maintain stable and secure operations in a dynamic cloud environment. Manage cloud services, including Identity and Access Management, Security Groups, and native services. Utilize software engineering methodologies such as Infrastructure as Code, continuous integration and delivery, and architecture reviews to create and manage cloud infrastructure. Develop scripts and templates essential for resource provisioning and configuration. Collaborate with internal and external teams to translate high-level technical goals into comprehensive requirements. Review operational needs with project teams and management to support deployment and ongoing functionalities. Create documentation for best practices related to server infrastructure and cloud computing operational tactics. Act as a liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure their needs are consistently met. Assist in identifying and planning for potential new cloud services, features, and capabilities. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field. Active Security+ certification. CSP Associate level cloud certification in AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI, or Google Cloud preferred. 8-15 years of IT experience, including 3-4 years of cloud engineering experience with various platforms. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced troubleshooting knowledge spanning storage, backups, server operating systems, and networks. Extensive knowledge of various cloud service providers. Strong skills in cloud command line scripting. Proficient documentation skills for environment and network design. Outstanding communication and project management capabilities. Familiarity with information life-cycle management concepts and best practices. Compensation Ranges: The compensation for this role can vary depending on factors such as location, skill set, education level, certifications, and years of experience, generally falling between $135K - $150K.
