Join us and become part of a team where your ideas are heard, your potential is recognized, and your career can truly flourish.The Position: The Database Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and performance optimization of databases, primarily using Microsoft SQL Server on Windows servers and AWS RDS instances, ensuring data integrity, availability, security, and efficient querying to support the needs of the company and its clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:· Develops deep understanding of business processes and IT environment; integrate with IT partners to manage collective effort and achieve strategic goals. Builds and maintains a strong working knowledge of systems, processes, and initiatives to ensure successful execution.· Designs, installs, supports, upgrades, and maintains database systems, schemas, stored procedures, and related infrastructure, planning for and responding to data outages and other problems· Execute multiple initiatives simultaneously while prioritizing based on the security, data availability, and the overall needs of the company· Provide routine automation, maintain data security policies, troubleshoot, and serves as lead engineer for various database-related technical projects· Work professionally and interactively with users to meet their needs and ensure continuance of the databases and service levels they require to perform their roles effectively· Maintains knowledge and supporting documentation of current database technology and equipment· Works collaboratively with both internal and external help desk on training and processes for secure, effective, and efficient support of the company's applications and databases· Responsible for monitoring database availability and measuring performance to ensure client-facing data infrastructure and internal resources are operating optimally· Works directly with CISO and security advisors focusing on security hardening and is responsible for planning and implementing remediations for database vulnerabilities both directly and by leveraging other members of operations· Responsible for the overall planning, testing, and execution of database maintenance including schema updates, indexing, backups, and recovery procedures· Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:· Bachelor's Degree required, IT related degree preferred· 2-5 years proven working experience as a Database Administrator· Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Query Language knowledge is required as well as Exposure to the following technologies: AWS RDS, MS Server (for hosting MS SQL Servers) .· Experience interpreting and implementing information security best practices through technology and process controls· Up to date knowledge of IT governance best practices· Technical expertise in Microsoft products and willingness to learn about other 3rd party software· Experience in enterprise-level monitoring tools for measuring application performance, network performance, and full environment reliability· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
