Job Description Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a dynamic construction team handling a diverse portfolio of projects, including higher education facilities and a wide range of commercial developments. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor and a proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including goals, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Collaborate with field teams to implement site-specific safety plans and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Serve as the primary point of contact for architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors. Work with preconstruction teams to transition from bidding/proposal phase to project award, including scope review, subcontractor negotiations, and schedule/value engineering. Manage bonding, insurance, permitting, and jobsite mobilization requirements. Maintain project documentation, schedules, and financial records using cloud-based systems and financial software. Lead quality control and safety compliance efforts on all projects. Facilitate subcontractor coordination, material deliveries, and labor forecasting to keep projects on schedule and budget. Oversee change orders, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawing review processes. Attend and document progress meetings with all project stakeholders. Manage project close-out procedures, including final reporting, punch lists, and accounting. Candidate Requirements: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor. Experience managing higher education projects is highly preferred, with additional exposure to diverse commercial construction projects. High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction industry standards. Professional ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and contracts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in construction software, scheduling tools, and project management platforms. Ability to travel as needed and adapt to multiple project locations.
