Duties/Responsibilities: Develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects ranging from $500K - $25 million Prepare conceptual estimates, design development estimates, and guaranteed maximum price (GMP) proposals Conduct quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar estimating software Analyze drawings, specifications, and scope of work to ensure complete and accurate estimates Track historical cost data and maintain cost databases to improve estimating accuracy Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives Lead the preparation of comprehensive bid packages and proposals Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to solicit and analyze competitive pricing Prepare detailed scopes of work for all trades and ensure complete coverage Develop project schedules and identify long-lead items and critical path activities Identify project risks during the preconstruction phase Required Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Highly organized, efficient, detail oriented and accurate. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiating skills. Ability to work collaboratively and establish a relationship built on trust with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders. Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations. Experience with computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, take-off software (On-Screen Takeoff or similar), BIM tools, (Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, or similar), project management software (CMiC, Vista, ProjectSight, Procore, or similar), and scheduling software (MS Project, Astra, or similar). Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Preferred, but not required. Minimum 3 years of industry experience in various construction types and systems. Project experience should include projects of values greater than $10 million. Conceptual to construction documents. Working knowledge of all phases of design and construction. Knowledge of the construction disciplines, including but not limited to: concrete, masonry, steel, wood frame, MEP systems, and interior/exterior finishes. Compensation: We offer a competitive salary based on experience, $80,000 - $100,000/year. Advancement opportunities are available for top performers.
