Training Specialist - New Employee Orientation (NEO)Position Overview We are seeking a proactive, highly organized Training Specialist to oversee and assist in delivering New Employee Orientation (NEO) during employees' critical first week, as well as provide ongoing training support throughout the initial months of employment. This role focuses on facilitating structured onboarding and development programs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Training Specialist will welcome new team members, lead weekly orientation sessions for large groups (50+ new hires per week), and support continuous training initiatives. Assignments are generally routine in nature and require limited independent judgment. Key ResponsibilitiesNew Employee Orientation (NEO) Facilitation Facilitate engaging, interactive New Employee Orientation sessions for 50+ new hires weekly. Lead classroom-style sessions, introduce speakers and trainers, and provide clear direction regarding schedules and expectations. Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during orientation week. Training Delivery & Development Conduct and promote engaging training sessions beyond initial onboarding. Deliver mandatory compliance training and ensure completion of required certifications. Support departmental training initiatives, including close collaboration with the Maintenance team. Onboarding Logistics & Coordination Coordinate onboarding schedules and logistics, including classroom setup, technology preparation, guest speakers, and training materials. Ensure seamless execution of onboarding activities from start to finish. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with leadership teams to align onboarding and training initiatives with departmental goals and ramp-up timelines. Continuous Improvement & Metrics Gather and analyze feedback from participants to refine and enhance the NEO program. Track onboarding metrics and measure training effectiveness in driving engagement and productivity. Required Skills & Experience Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field OR 3-5 years of manufacturing experience (New graduates will be considered.) Demonstrated presentation and facilitation experience (must be reflected on resume). Proven experience in training facilitation, instructional design, or employee development preferred. Strong communication and public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Knowledge of onboarding best practices and adult learning principles. Proficiency with training technologies and tools (e.g., LMS systems, presentation software). High level of organization, adaptability, creativity, and attention to detail. Work Environment Fast-paced manufacturing setting. Classroom-style facilitation with large groups weekly. Requires strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple onboarding cycles simultaneously.
