Located in Trinity Health System Ann Arbor you will be centrally located to the art, culture, academics, entertainment, and activities that Ann Arbor provides.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSUREEducation : Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, or university in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science. May consider a bachelor's degree in science with a combination of 2 years of relevant work experience in a laboratory setting. Proof of educational transcripts must be submitted at time of application. Experience: Prior clinical work experience in a Blood Bank laboratory setting is desired.Certification/Licensure: Medical Technologist (MT)/Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - ASCP, or NCLS certification preferred.This position may also be listed as: Medical Lab Scientist, Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory ScientistUnder general supervision, performs qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests on patient specimens, according to established standards and practices. Analyzes test results and prepares samples for testing. Is knowledgeable of the principles and clinical significance involved in test procedures and uses this expertise daily.
