In this role, you will conduct interview-based evaluations and physical assessments-including range of motion and muscle strength testing-without providing treatment or prescriptions. The position is ideal for qualified physicians with backgrounds in family or internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine, particularly those experienced with compensation and pension processes. You may work in various locations across Indiana, either from your own office or within a 50-mile radius of your home, with opportunities for part-time or full-day shifts, including times to complete reports and follow-up administrative tasks. Required Skills: Board-certified or eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related fields Proven experience performing medical assessments and physical examinations Strong communication and interviewing skills Ability to review and document medical findings accurately Familiarity with compensation and pension exam procedures preferred Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with VA or military-related assessments Certification in medical evaluations or related specialties Licensed in Indiana or eligible for licensure in the state Experience with telemedicine or remote assessments Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) Active medical license in Indiana Minimum 2 years of clinical practice, with prior assessment experience advantageous Other Requirements: Willingness to conduct exams across multiple locations or from your own office Ability to work PRN with flexible scheduling, including half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts Travel included in rates for local providers No reimbursable costs for certifications or portal training prior to start Quick credentialing and onboarding process Earn $624.00 per hour, with flat-rate options including $800 for half-days and $1,600 for full days, plus a one-time $650 bonus upon completing initial training and first exams.
