CNC Machinist Multiple Shifts

Spherion is filling long-term full-time CNC roles (temp-to-perm AND direct hire) on multiple shifts! As a CNC Operator/Machinist, you will play a key role in producing high-quality parts for our customers by successfully operating CNC machines, including machining centers and turning centers. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Shifts: 1st Mon-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM 2nd Mon-Thursday 4:00PM-2:00AM 3rd: Mon-Thursday 8:30PM-7:00AM Weekends: Fri-Sun 6:00A-6:30P Perks & Benefits: Climate-controlled environment Beverages allowed on the production floor Long term opportunity Over-time & Double-time available Responsibilities: Interpret blueprint and job specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances. Operate equipment per written instructions. Read and operate inspection equipment to ensure production of a quality product. Monitor quality per ISO work instructions. Perform adjustments and tool changes as required to maintain part quality. Pack parts properly to prevent damage. Perform necessary daily equipment inspection and maintenance. Complete daily cycle counting in accordance with established procedures Skills: Experience with ERP Systems and Microsoft Suite, desired. Machinist Technical Degree/Certification; or 2-4 years of related experience and/or training. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 35 pounds regularly. Ability to operate a computer and other electronic equipment Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions and correspondence, as well as effectively communicate with others within the organization.
