Monday - Friday $30 per visit Join Community Behavioral Nursing Services (CBNS) Community Behavioral Nursing Services (CBNS) is a family-owned and operated, accredited home health agency providing specialized care to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in structured group home settings. Our unique care model allows clinicians to work consistently with the IDD population in a controlled environment. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing team and help empower individuals to live with dignity, independence, and respect. Position Summary The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides skilled occupational therapy services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities residing in group home settings. The OT evaluates, develops, and implements individualized treatment plans designed to improve functional independence, enhance quality of life, and promote participation in daily living activities. This role offers meaningful, relationship-based care with consistent patient populations and collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations. Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs, goals, and physician orders. Provide direct occupational therapy interventions focusing on: Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) Sensory integration Fine motor skills Adaptive equipment training Environmental modifications Collaborate with nurses, speech therapists, physical therapists, behavioral specialists, and group home staff. Educate caregivers and direct support staff on therapeutic techniques and carryover strategies. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Complete timely and accurate documentation in compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations. Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Current Ohio Occupational Therapist license in good standing. CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience working with individuals with IDD preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
