Clients turn to us to help them seize new trends, challenges, and opportunities in energy, while managing their existing business and assets efficiently and effectively.  Role  Provides day-to-day leadership of client projects and aspects of the client relationship and commercial process within those relationships, teaming with Partners and shares responsibility for the success of a specific engagement(s).  Leads and manages complex programs to ensure on-time delivery that meets agreed upon goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practice, their own expertise and the firm’s technical competence.  Guides and influences clients in an informed way across all situations including execution of the commercial process, becoming trusted advisors.  Engages fully in building business by identifying new and expanded opportunities.  Creates exciting and additive intellectual capital through their thought leadership and are knowledgeable on a broad range of adjacent topics.  Develops others and builds a followership as part of their asset building for the firm.  Leads firm building activities, seen as a role model for firm values with a strong personal brand within and outside of the firm and are well regarded by Partners, peers, and clients  Desired Skills and Experience  As our Partners of the future, Principals represent the near next generation of Oliver Wyman’s leadership. As such, they require a substantial level of experience:  8+ years’ experience strategy consulting is preferred, but a combination of strategy consulting and chemicals/process industry experience will be considered  Experience in operator roles within Chemicals/Process Industries/Industrials preferred   Expert-level practice-specific knowledge of chemicals or adjacent process industries, specifically with deep supply chain / operations expertise  Demonstrated track record of EBITDA improvement and operational transformation  Strong execution orientation, not strategy-only  Track record of leading and managing teams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast paced and demanding environments  Strong background in conceptual problem solving and analytical skills  Ability to deploy your expertise in thought leadership and other intellectual capital efforts to bolster business development efforts  Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a readiness to present your team’s work to senior executives at top-tier clients  Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program  Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including internationally  Role is hybrid, targeting 60% togetherness   Our Values and Culture We’re serious about making Oliver Wyman a rewarding, enjoyable, and balanced place to work. Please note that CPT and OPT are restricted forms of work authorization . The applicable base salary range for this role is $235K - $265K. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
