Your Responsibilities Plan your day, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with your team to ensure safe and timely freight movement, demonstrating problem-solving and adaptability on the road. Accurately handle all documentation and electronic logs while adhering to DOT, state, and company guidelines. Safely operate and inspect your tractor-trailer before, during, and after trips to maintain optimal condition. Utilize optimized routes while following traffic laws to reduce delays and enhance on-time delivery. Uphold Walmart's high standards of safety, integrity, and professionalism every mile. Minimum Qualifications Interstate (Class A) Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat endorsement, or the ability to obtain it within 120 calendar days after hiring. At least 30 months of full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving experience in the last 3 years. No more than two moving violations while operating any vehicle in the past three years. No serious traffic violations within the last three years. No preventable accidents occurring while operating any vehicle in the previous three years. No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the last ten years. No preventable accidents resulting in fatalities or catastrophic injuries in your driving history. Must live within 250 miles of the assigned facility or be willing to establish residence within 90 days from hire. Drivers receive a fixed rate for miles driven, with extra pay for certain activities. The mileage rate ranges from $0.55 to $0.69 per mile, with an average driving range between 62,355 and 196,040 miles. Actual pay depends on location and driving distances.
