Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all equipment related to production. This role involves working on conveyors, gearboxes, PLCs, VFDs, eye sensors, pneumatic equipment, compressors, and general facility maintenance. The technician will utilize their mechanical and electrical abilities to maintain, repair, and build equipment throughout the production facility.Responsibilities Maintain and troubleshoot factory packaging equipment utilizing PLCs, pneumatic controls, conveyors, scales, timed automations, and palletizers. Install, maintain, and repair plant machinery, equipment, and physical structures. Diagnose failures in machinery or equipment and perform necessary repairs. Perform and document preventative maintenance activities. Follow specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings as well as LOTO procedures to make repairs. Use common electrical test equipment on circuits. Minimum 3 years of maintenance technician experience. Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and belts. Proficiency in working with pneumatic equipment. Mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with compact logic and eye sensors. Welding skills. Work EnvironmentThe maintenance position is located in a plant/production environment that is very dirty and dusty. The plant transfers clay and dirt from a mine to produce kitty litter, resulting in a fine layer of dust settling on nearly every surface.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of TAFT, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
