Production Superintendent

Production Superintendent - Glass Manufacturing Minneapolis, MN | Full-Time | Direct Hire Company is seeking an experienced Production Manager with direct hot-end glass bottle manufacturing experience to lead and coordinate production operations within a high-volume glass manufacturing facility. This role will oversee Forming, Machine Repair, and Mould departments, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while maintaining alignment with company performance objectives. Key Responsibilities Direct and coordinate Forming, Machine Repair, and Mould department activities Oversee daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met Establish and enforce policies related to productivity, quality control, and safety Develop and implement new procedures to improve operational performance Resolve production issues including ware defects, glass conditioning challenges, and equipment problems Maintain process control through active monitoring and communication Lead job change meetings, planning sessions, and problem-solving discussions Maintain effective preventative maintenance programs Manage labor and departmental spending within plant budget Foster strong employee, management, and union relations Train, mentor, and develop production team members Required Experience MUST have hot-end glass bottle manufacturing experience 5-7 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of glass forming processes and production operations Proven ability to manage teams in high-volume industrial settings Familiarity with manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures Microsoft Office proficiency Ability to rely on experience and judgment to drive operational results
