Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our Thermoforming equipment. This role involves the inspection, repair, and maintenance of various systems, requiring a proactive and safety-conscious approach.Responsibilities Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems on Thermoforming equipment. Perform preventive maintenance procedures. Locate parts required for repairs or projects. Maintain awareness of all work performed on machines and their performance. Keep shop areas neat and orderly as tasks are completed. Take control of machinery when situations arise that pose a risk of personal injury or rapid machine deterioration. Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for department personnel. Monitor the team and provide coaching as needed. Complete work assigned by the Shift Lead or Leadership Group. Communicate activities with Group Leadership and other department members. Obtain parts as needed, including during emergencies. Assist in other departments as requested by the Leadership Group. Continue education and training to stay current with job requirements. Wear and maintain proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for tasks at all times. Maintain PPE and company tools. Enforce all HAACP, GMP, Safety rules, and department guidelines. Essential Skills Experience as a maintenance technician with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment. Proficient in performing preventive maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic aptitude. Dependable and motivated with a solid work history. Ability to participate in an apprenticeship program. Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics. Strong reading comprehension and math skills. Must provide own required tools. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand, walk, bend, or stoop through an entire shift. Good manual dexterity and vision (20/20 with correction) to detect minor defects and differentiate colors.
