Systems Programmer III Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Systems Programmer for a contract position in Columbia, SC. The opportunity will be for six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Monitor system health: Review logs Monitor alerts Ensure servers and critical services are running smoothly Perform operational support for zVM environment: Work tickets System upgrades Disaster recovery exercises Ensure systems are stable, secure, and ready for workloads Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in: Computer Science Information Systems Or related field OR 4 years of job-related work experience OR 2 years of job-related experience + Associate's degree in CS/IT or related field Minimum 4 years of IT experience Must include varied programming experience Required Technologies zVM RACF Operations Manager IBM Backup and Restore Manager IBM Tape Manager Preferred: ServiceNow REXX coding Linux skills Jenkins GitHub Strong written and verbal communication Ability to communicate with: Customers Peers Management Customer service mindset Proactive and takes initiative Addresses issues before being prompted If this job is a match for your background, we would be honoured to receive your application!
