Anticipated salary range for this position is $144,900 to $161,000, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Primary Purpose of Position This role involves supporting Constellation's interface activities with Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) as we enhance our nuclear (clean energy) power output capabilities. Key organizations include PJM, MISO, and NYISO. Responsibilities include managing grid interconnection requests, conducting grid studies, and handling necessary modifications. Primary Duties and Accountabilities Utilize technical expertise to develop and manage new or revised Grid Interconnection Agreements (GIAs). Manage and implement interim deliverability agreements with strong technical support. Act as a subject matter expert regarding RTO study outcomes, including grid reinforcement conclusions. Possess a thorough understanding of power grid interconnections, power flow dynamics, grid congestion, and modifications to support grid reinforcement. Comprehend applicable NERC, FERC, and RTO regulations and standards. Notify leadership of both short-term and long-term implications for increasing power generation capabilities. Advise leadership on the risks, schedules, and costs associated with grid reinforcement projects. Guide Constellation nuclear operations on grid interconnection agreements, procedures, limitations, and protocols. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of deliverables to meet generation strategic goals. Conduct independent research and analyses pertaining to grid interconnections. Offer technical expertise in generation and excitation modeling as per IEEE generation standards. Utilize grid interconnection software, including Power System Simulator for Engineering (PSSE) and others as necessary. Perform additional job duties as assigned by management, supporting outage activities and coverage as per company policy. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience. Proven technical leadership experience (e.g., project lead, inspection lead) and a strong collaboration ethos. Meet access requirements, including favorable medical examination as per position duties. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer Registration. Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework is a plus.
