Receiving/Inspection Clerk

The Receiving/Inspection Clerk is responsible for handling incoming shipments, verifying deliveries, organizing inventory, and assembling kits for production or distribution when needed. You will also be responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying incoming raw materials, components, and products to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications. This role ensures accurate documentation, efficient workflow, and maintains a well-organized stockroom. • Receiving & Inspection: Accept incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.• Inventory Management: Record and update inventory levels using warehouse management systems; ensure proper storage and labeling.• Kitting Assembly: Pick, organize, and assemble parts, materials, and components into kits according to work orders or production schedules.• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory adjustments, and kit assemblies.• Quality Control: Ensure all kits meet specified requirements and report any shortages or defects.• Coordination: Communicate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or manage urgent requests.• Safety Compliance: Follow warehouse safety guidelines and ensure a clean, organized workspace. • Incoming Inspection: Use measuring and test equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, etc.) to verify dimensions and quality requirements. Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials. Requirements • Previous experience in warehousing, inventory, incoming inspection, or kitting preferred. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to lift and move packages up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs]. • Basic computer proficiency; experience with inventory management software a plus. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
