Job Summary Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS) a Pacific Northern Environmental LLC division, is seeking a Foreman who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment with the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company, clients, and employees. Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of five divisions including Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (Taurus), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC is a multi-state organization with operating offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. In addition, we carry out projects across the United States. CCS provides industrial cleaning and spill response to almost every pulp and paper mill in the Pacific Northwest. We also service major oil companies and a wide range of manufacturing and industrial clients. CCS has demonstrated its ability to complete large and complex industrial cleaning challenges on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with the most stringent industrial health & safety programs. No industrial cleaning job is too large or too small for CCS. The Foreman is responsible for assisting the Department Manager in pre-field duties, communicating with customers, completing daily project paperwork and assisting on-site teams. Education and Experience Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License required and ability to be insured under the company's driving insurance plan. Must be 18 years or older. 3-5 years of successful experience in field management and managing projects as well as managing health and safety for mobile workforce. Experience in bulk disposal and hazardous waste handling. 2-3 years of experience in confined space entry and rescue preferred. 1-year minimum supervisory experience Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required. Ability to manage projects within budget while continually identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability. Comfortable interfacing with clients to maintain, grow, and strengthen business relationships. Duties and Responsibilities The Foreman possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following: Coordinating work according to priorities and plans. Safely operate and maintain company vehicles as required for job duties, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies Must maintain the ability drive company vehicles. Producing scheduled and monitor attendance of crew. Allocating general and daily responsibilities. Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met. Monitor expenditure and projects to ensure the remain within budget. Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably when they arise. Assist department manager in duties, such as but not limited to scheduling, estimates and bidding, daily safety and customer paperwork, complete and submit change orders, team management, safety, inventory etc. Provide exceptional professionalism and customer service. Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions: Work in outdoor weather conditions. Willing to get dirty and be in wet conditions at times. Frequently moving hoses and other work-related equipment up to 50lbs for various needs. Observe details at close range. Communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. Ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding and/or platforms. Travel up to 25%, some overnight travel may be required Work in environments where there may be exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, including chemicals, fumes, hazardous substances. Perform duties in an industrial environment where consistently high noise levels are present. Perform tasks that may involve working in confined spaces such as tanks, tunnels, or enclosed structures, as well as at elevated heights using ladders, platforms, or scaffolding. Required to meet facial hair standards in accordance with OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.34). Must be able to successfully complete and maintain a valid DOT physical examination, including baseline and annual/periodic recertification, as required for the role. Must be able to successfully complete baseline and annual/periodic audiometric testing as a condition of employment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection, and successfully complete respirator fit testing.
