The facility has 885 licensed beds with a Level 1 Trauma Designation. This is an academic medical center and features a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. Therapists will be assigned an appropriate patient care workload depending on departmental needs. Common patient types and diagnoses include post-surgical patients, pneumonia, COPD, asthma, and ED patients. Experience with specific equipment such as Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, Heated High Flow, and cough assist is preferred. For those working in pediatrics, experience with HFJV and HFOV is also preferred. Team support includes Lead Therapists on each shift with a teamwork-focused atmosphere. The department encourages a collaborative culture with extensive team experience. Weekend rotation is required every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No on-call is required.
