About Trumbull: Best-in-class leader in heavy civil and highway construction Consistently ranked a Top 100 Contractor by Engineering-News Record Build innovative and diverse teams of people who share our values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Family, and Community PRIMARY FUNCTION: Preview the limits of work and degree of readiness for the start of the project. Determine the project scope and set-up requirements for traffic control (when applicable), equipment, trucks and materials needs on the project. Coordinate and monitor the daily production including the supervision and organization of all crew members and equipment. Ensure all tasks on the project are completed to contract specifications. Maintain a safe work environment. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum of 2 years of foreman experience on highway/roadway construction projects. Experience should include project layout and set-up, scheduling of manpower, equipment and materials with knowledge of subgrade preparation, water, sanitary and storm drainage pipe installation Demonstrate decision making skills, the ability to manage, supervise, schedule and delegate directions to a crew Must have the ability to read and follow plans and DOT specifications Computer skills are preferred with the use of programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and any other job-related software required by the company or project A professional work ethic and attitude with good communication skills are necessary for effective communication with project owners, inspectors and subcontractors Must be willing to travel, work various shifts and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
