Core Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive evaluations of upper-extremity injuries and conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide post-operative care, including wound care and customized protocols. Fabricate custom orthoses/splints as needed. Document treatment progress and maintain accurate clinical records. Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and interdisciplinary colleagues. Educate patients and families on care, prevention, and home exercise programs. Requirements: Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) in good standing. Experience in hand therapy and upper-extremity rehabilitation. CHT certification preferred (or candidate actively pursuing certification). Strong manual therapy, splinting, and clinical reasoning skills. Excellent communication and patient-education abilities. Post-surgical hand and wrist rehabilitation Custom splint fabrication Treatment of fractures, tendon injuries, nerve repairs, arthritis, and overuse injuries Knowledge of current evidence-based hand therapy practices This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements.
