ServiceNow Senior Administrator Location: Berkeley, CA Pay Rate: $80/hr (W2) Desired Start Date: April 1, 2026 Desired End Date: March 31, 2027 Position Summary The purpose of this position is to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes and external-facing IT Service Management (ITSM) processes by ensuring accuracy and repeatability through automation, diligent ServiceNow administrative activities, effective development processes, reporting, and solution delivery. ServiceNow is the primary platform used to achieve these goals. This role serves as the Senior Administrator responsible for managing and optimizing the ServiceNow implementation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Serve as a core member of the Business Automation Group with a focus on the ServiceNow platform. Maintain the integrity and performance of all ServiceNow instances (Sandbox, Development, Test, Production). Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and administration. Manage and maintain ServiceNow user interfaces, platform components, portals, and mobile functionality. Create, configure, and maintain: Notifications UI Pages, UI Macros UI Policies, UI Actions Script Includes Business Rules Client Scripts Formatters Create and manage Update Sets; promote and test changes across environments into Production. Enforce best practices in development, testing, and deployment processes. Develop and improve Requested Items, Record Producers, and Workflows. Assist with business process analysis, requirement gathering, and workflow optimization. Work on complex issues requiring deep evaluation of variable factors. Collaborate with ServiceNow support and escalate incidents as needed. Perform at least one major ServiceNow upgrade annually, including remediation of upgrade-related issues. Identify new platform capabilities and recommend enhancements aligned with organizational goals. Independently perform on-call duties. Write RFPs, evaluate vendors, draft Statements of Work, and manage partner relationships. Develop clear technical, process, and project documentation. Contribute to large, complex projects by innovating and implementing solutions. Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems and manage data synchronization. Create reports and dashboards within ServiceNow. Deliver educational content and technical presentations. Maintain current ServiceNow Administrator certification aligned with each major release. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience BA/BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 8 years of system administration experience. Minimum 4 years administering and developing on a production ServiceNow implementation. Experience managing highly available and complex cloud-based platforms. Experience optimizing and documenting ITSM processes across diverse teams. Strong knowledge of: IT Service Management Service Desk Incident, Change, and Problem Management Asset and Configuration Management CMDB Proficient in JavaScript and HTML. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong independent and collaborative work capabilities. Proven customer service mindset in a service delivery environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to resolve technical and interpersonal conflicts with professionalism and diplomacy.
