AI RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT EXPERT

Request-ID: 27417-1 AI RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT EXPERT - Washington DC - $80 - 15+ years Job Summary This position is responsible for exploring the latest research and development in AI technologies and implementations, independently identifying, testing, and evaluating latest trends in AI, and coordinating proof of concept exercises for these trends. The incumbent will work closely with other AI engineers and researchers to develop and implement new AI solutions to the company's business problems. The candidate will have an opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technologies, collaborative and supportive work environment and opportunities for professional development and growth. Major Duties and Responsibilities: • Conduct research on the latest AI technologies and trends. • Identify and evaluate new AI technologies and applications. • Develop and implement proof of concept exercises for new AI technologies. • Work with other AI engineers and researchers to develop and implement new AI solutions. • Stay up-to-date on the latest AI research and best practices • Communicate and collaborate with other teams to ensure that AI solutions are aligned with the company's overall business goals. • Write monthly reports for IT management on AI research and development relevant for the Fund or its member countries. • Define, maintain, audit , enforce AI governance and principles • Build and run the R&D, managing the vendors assigned to R&D • Manage the cooperation with other institutions • Establish, maintain, operate, communicate, enforce all processes and decision matrices for all scenarios that require the intervention of the task force (e.g., address new use cases, new technologies, competing AI functionalities, etc) • Ensure daily operations of AI Task force, including collaboration with communication, change management, development teams. Additional Qualifications • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure • Experience with big data processing technologies such as Hadoop or Spark • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices • Experience with open-source AI libraries and frameworks • Publications in top AI conferences and journals Minimum Qualifications § Master's degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field § 3+ years of experience in AI research and development § Strong programming skills in Python, R, or a similar language § Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques § Experience with natural language processing and computer vision § Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills § Ability to work independently and as part of a team. § Strong communication and presentation skills
