What We Are Looking For We are currently seeking on-call/substitute Lifeguards to join our team at our Brooklyn (Crown Heights) and Manhattan locations. This is a flexible, as-needed position ideal for experienced lifeguards looking to pick up occasional shifts. OUR APPROACH - Imagine Swimming adheres to the teachings of Reggio Emilia method of education, an Italian educational philosophy that places emphasis on focusing on the child, fostering imagination and encouraging their interaction with the natural world. Many of New York City's top preschools have adopted this principle in their curriculum and we see this best expressed in the water - where every sense is engaged and the opportunities for exploration, and growth, are endless. With highly-developed teaching methods and rigorous training, it's the teachers - in the moment - who must pass along this love and knowledge of swimming long-term. Our 80-person instructor team reflect the New York City community itself-diverse, ambitious, top notch, and we consider ourselves fortunate to celebrate the aquatic world together.
