Manage quote phase of projects from concept to order - basic automation to complex $2m production cells. Provides support for the salesteam with customer visits and presentations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Automation concept development Find cost effective concept for automated production cells. Analyze performance of automation equipment. Research technologies for competitive and cost effective design Create quotations Create quotations for Automation Systems and Robotic Systems. Design concepts for customer application. Research vendors, define scope of supply and negotiate pricing Create Quotation layouts Create 2D Layouts during the quotation phase for the sales team. Work with Concept Drafter to develop 3D and detailed 2D layout Sales Support Provide support for the entire sales team via phone, email or onsite customer visits Maintain up-to-date knowledge on automation products. Perform miscellaneous tasks Maintain internal reports Perform project kick-off meetings to transfer projects to operations Research new vendors and automation partners Support Key Accounts customers for North America Facilitate Sales/Customer Training 5% Present technical training modules to sales or customer Performs other duties or special projects as required QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducational/Training Requirement: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience Experience: • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience o Machinery engineering background (mechanical and electrical) o Manufacturing background is a plus o Project Budget responsibilities Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Proficient in 2D CAD program, SAP and MS Office, IDEAS or NX is a plus • Basic knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical and Software • Analytical and business thinking skills • Practical knowledge automation and mechatronics • Driven, independent worker • Team player • Presentation skills • Negotiating skills • Excellent communication skills with all levels of personnel including: engineers, management, sales, assembly personnel, vendors and customers • Willingness to learn and think outside the box • Organized and detail oriented • Able to multi-task • Deadline oriented • Able to take constructive feedback WHY ENGEL?
