Minimum QualificationsCandidates must: Be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Class B license with P and S endorsement, issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles at the time of appointment. Have a clean driving and criminal history. Be able to pass a physical and drug screen. Be required to pass a physical performance test. Typical Work Activities Include, but are not limited to: Checking the operating condition of the bus before starting on a trip and after. Reporting any mechanical defects to the immediate supervisor. Instructing or informing students about safety practices when entering and leaving the bus. Maintaining orderly conduct of students on the bus. Working a full-time position with a guaranteed six hours per day. Reporting every day school is in session, with the same route daily. Being eligible to sign up for extra work. Paid Training Rate: Salary: $22.95/Hour (When in training, you would be eligible to work as a bus assistant at $18.49 per hour.) Substitute Part-Time: Salary: $25.34/hour (Variable Schedule and Flexible Hours) Full-Time Salary & Benefits: (6-hours) Starting Hourly Rate: $26.45
