The successful candidate will establish and maintain strong public relations and interpersonal skills with college students with disabilities, faculty, staff, student staff and university departments. This position assists in coordination and implementation of testing accommodations and note-taking services for students with disabilities. Provides support in office compliance with disability laws and amendments. Additionally, this position assists with other duties within the DS office including but not limited to assisting other staff with the coordination of accommodations. Key Job Responsibilities: Monitors the department, unit or program budget and expenses, and may assist in the development of program budget and projections May provide operational guidance and training on day-to-day activities of student workers and program staff Serves as a primary point of contact for the department Develops, implements, and maintains methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to department operations according to established policies and procedures Coordinates projects and program components including, scheduling and logistics, unit workflow, and identifies areas for process improvements Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves problems regarding technical systems and programs related to department operations Department: The University of Wisconsin-Stout recognizes disability as a dynamic aspect of our university community. Compensation: Minimum starting hourly wage of $19.50 ($40,560) plus benefits, commensurate with qualifications and experience. A six-month probationary period is required. Required Qualifications: High school diploma Evidence of computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Budget management and record-keeping knowledge and skill Evidence of interpersonal and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Experience working in a higher education environment Experience working with individuals with disabilities Ability to handle challenging situations with composure and successfully problem-solve Excellent judgment including sensitivity to personal and confidential information Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with minimal supervisory oversight Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment Experience supervising student workers or other staff How to Apply: Complete applications received by end of day, February 15, 2026 are ensured full consideration.
