Job Description / Essential Elements: Position Description: Under the direction of the Executive Director of Nutrition Services assist in preparation and serving of food at an assigned food service facility; assist in maintaining food service facility in a clean and sanitary condition and perform related food service duties required. Requirements: Knowledge of: Modern methods of assembling, preparing and serving foods in large quantities Sanitation principles applicable to food service and kitchen maintenance Standard kitchen equipment and utensils Oral communication skills Ability to: Learn quantity food preparation, serving and storage methods and procedures Assist in preparing and setting-up food for service to students and staff Assist in serving food to students and staff according to established procedures Maintain food service equipment and facilities in clean and sanitary condition Work effectively under rushed conditions Learn to interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others Lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds Range/Salary: $14.00/Hourly Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.
