We are looking for a Controller to be the driving force behind a motivated team of accounting professionals in a growing and ever-changing environment. What you'll do: Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk associated with all financial matters including but not limited to purchasing, corporate credit cards, inventory controls, and expense control. Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. Review and assist in the adjustment of accounts designated for monthly reconciliation. General Ledger control and booking of asset acquisition transactions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to measure and evaluate business initiatives. Produce the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management. Prepare and review financial information monthly, including identifying trends, providing insights, and compliance with budgetary guidelines. Provide financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. Oversee transactions between the company and its affiliates. Coordinate with CFO & HR to hire an expanded staff in accounting as the company continues its accelerated growth pattern. Review and approve Sales Tax submissions, and payments of all Real Estate, Personal Property, and Vehicle Registration Taxes due. Work with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting standards to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and drive continuous improvement. Work with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit. File quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned What you'll need: Excellent management and supervisory skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required. Ten years or more of related experience required, preferably as a Financial Controller. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
