Milling Machine - Cold Planer Team Member

Job Summary: C.R. Jackson is hiring a Milling Machine (Cold Planer) Team Member to support roadway milling operations. In this role, you'll work alongside the milling crew to remove existing asphalt surfaces in preparation for resurfacing. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, teamwork, and working outdoors in a fast-paced construction environment. What You'll Do: Assist with setup, operation, and cleanup of cold planer/milling operations Support the milling machine operator and crew during production Operate hand and power tools as needed Help load and unload equipment and materials Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment Maintain a clean and organized job site Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For: High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to understand and follow directions Strong teamwork and communication skills Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE Good driving record Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening Experience preferred, but not required Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds Good balance, coordination, and physical stamina Ability to work in heat, cold, dust, noise, and other outdoor conditions Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and vacation Supportive team environment and opportunities for advancement About C.R.
