LHH is seeking an Accounting Analyst/Associate for a growing financial services client in the metro Detroit area to support financial reporting, accounting operations, and oversight of investment vehicles. This role will collaborate closely with external service providers to ensure accurate reporting and smooth daytoday operations. The individual in this position will begin with core accounting responsibilities and have opportunities over time to broaden their exposure across the finance and operations functions. Primary Responsibilities Evaluate quarterly financial deliverables, including capital account statements, balance sheets, income statements, capital activity, and cash flow reports. Assist with annual audits by preparing supporting documentation, managing information flow, and addressing auditor questions. Maintain comprehensive and accurate accounting records while ensuring adherence to governing documents and relevant regulations. Prepare, review, and process various reports for internal and external constituents. Respond to inquiries and generate ad hoc analyses in collaboration with the accounting and investor relations teams. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, ideally within fund accounting, investment management, or corporate finance/accounting. Background in public accounting and/or CPA certification is beneficial but not mandatory. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation. Familiarity with valuation methodologies, corporate finance principles, and fair value reporting standards. Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI. Exposure to workflow or process automation tools (e.g., Alteryx) is a plus. Advanced Excel skills, including complex formula creation and data manipulation. Excellent analytical abilities, problemsolving skills, and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative, fastpaced team environment. What's in it for you?
