We are currently hiring for a Quality Inspector I in our Ashland, VA location. This position will support the maintenance of our AS9100 Quality Management System by conducting thorough inspections of our filtration products. The inspector will play an essential role in ensuring our products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. This position involves hands-on inspection tasks at various stages of the manufacturing process, from raw material receipt to final product verification. As a Quality Inspector I, the employee will learn to use a variety of measurement tools and techniques to identify and report quality issues. This role requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Duties / Responsibilities Quality Inspection: Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products. Use measuring tools and equipment to verify product specifications. Record inspection results accurately and maintain detailed documentation. Follow established quality control procedures and work instructions. Quality Assurance: Assist in preparing Quality Control Plans for various stages of production. Ensure proper labeling and traceability of materials and products. Help maintain and organize quality-related documentation. Process Support: Collect data for statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement initiatives. Participate in team discussions to identify potential quality issues and improvements. Compliance: Follow all relevant quality standards and regulations in daily operations. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment in compliance with quality and safety standards. Communication: Report quality issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly. Collaborate with production team members to address quality concerns. Participate in quality-related training and team meetings. Qualifications / Training Required High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in manufacturing or quality is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret basic technical documents and work instructions. Experience using basic measuring tools and gauges is preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks. Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies. Basic math skills for calculations and data recording.
