EHS Specialist

EHS Specialist - Des Plaines, IL The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm, and we are currently seeking an EHS Specialist for a client of ours. This position will be located in Des Plaines, IL. Details for the position are as follows: Job Description: Pay: $30-33/hour Long Term Contract Position Main Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with local, federal and company regulations. Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, identify potential hazards in the workplace, define and implement recommendations for mitigation measures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain a safe work environment, fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization and to drive continuous improvement initiatives related to EHS performance. Deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of EHS procedures, hazards, and best practices. Conduct incident and accident investigations, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence. Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to management. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports, training records, and permits. Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably within similar industries or fields. Knowledge of local and federal EHS regulations and standards.
