Job DescriptionJob Title: Fabricator Location: Owatonna, MN Compensation: $22.25 per hour - paid weekly Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00pm-5:00am Job Type: Direct HireAbout the Opportunity Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Fabricators for a leading industrial equipment company located in Owatonna, MN. Read below for more information!What You'll Do as a Fabricator: Set up job and tooling in a manner conducive to safe and efficient operation and in accord with established procedures Shear, punch, brake, or otherwise fabricate parts per established procedures and production standards and to stated and acceptable quality standards Use measuring tools accurately, including angle gauges, tape measures and vernier calipers Perform mathematical calculations involving addition and subtraction of dimensions represented decimally or in fractions Read blueprints and interpret dimensions and tolerances Follow Fabrication, Materials, and Accounting record keeping practices by promptly and accurately logging pertinent information Keep Supervisor informed of problems or opportunities Topics may include questions or comments on items that could require attention (or ideas for improvement) in work flow, equipment, procedures/work methods, safety, and general employment Recommend changes where appropriate Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a neat and orderly fashion Assist in implementation of changes in methods or procedures Accurately track work hours by job and activity What You Need to Bring to the Fabricator Role: High school graduate or equivalent 1+ year of work experience including using small hand tools in a team-oriented manufacturing environment Experience fabricating sheet metal parts using fabrication tools and equipment is desirable Shop courses or equivalent experience is helpful Good mechanical ability to read blueprints and drawings in order to fabricate parts Knowledge of how to use mechanical tools, wrenches, levels, and light power tools properly and safely Skill in accurately using measuring tools including angle gauges, tape measures, and vernier calipers #OwatonnaJobs Ready to Apply?
