We Make It Work.Job DescriptionSummary of Position The Inventory Auditor reports to the Branch Operations Manager. He/she works with all aspects of inventory operations, including inventory management, accuracy and control, purchasing (inter-company and vendor), and optimizing inventory accuracy processes. Responsibilities Verifies accuracy on all inventory movements such as shipments, returns, branch transfers, purchases, etc. Thoroughly records and reports all discrepancies affecting inventory accuracy. Tracks and monitors packing slips for incoming material and ensures they are processed fully and accurately. Tracks and monitors branch inventory movement levels to ensure they are properly maintained using in-house order processing and logistics systems. Reports any discrepancies to the Branch Demand Planner and Operations Manager. Ensures all unloading returns procedures are followed, including: photographing trucks, issuing a Discos II return number, first count, and timely receiving of inventory into Discos. Creates and executes S.M.A.R.T. goals regularly to maximize inventory accuracy. Assists in the planning, organizing, and execution of all physical inventory counts. Conducts comparisons to computer counts and adjusts using options for the optimal benefit of the business. Assists in preventing negative current inventory daily. Monitors and works to reduce surplus inventory as appropriate. Emphasizes to yard staff the significance of following proper procedures and care for optimal inventory control and accuracy. Other Responsibilities/Peripheral Functions Other duties and projects as assigned, including participating in company committees/teams. Assist in ensuring safe working practices and a safe working environment. Complies with all company policies and business practices. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred, concentration in Finance, Controlling, Logistics or Traffic desired. Experience in administration, operations, or controlling preferred. Facilitates projects, self-initiates, and effectively manages multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing). Qualitative abilities include strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and effective problem-solving skills. Proficient using Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel required. Willing and able to learn new computer systems, products, concepts, and techniques. Organized team player able to work independently in a result-driven, fast-paced environment. Problem Solving This position requires the ability to support the branch operations function and resolve operations-related issues on short notice with minimal information. Communication Extensive daily interaction with colleagues, management, and external partners. Communicate effectively with all levels of management, both internally and externally. Mental Effort This position requires the ability to think strategically and analytically. Able to envision the broader picture and understand the impact of his/her accountabilities as they relate to the entire company. Position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to be organized and manage time to meet deadlines. Working Conditions Working conditions vary from those of an office environment: dry, cool, well-lit, to outside conditions (equipment yard), high noise level in certain areas, and extreme outdoor temperatures. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00, which is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location. This range represents the base pay for the position and does not include potential bonuses, commissions, benefits, or other forms of compensation. Final compensation will be determined at the time of offer and in accordance with internal equity and market data.
