Maple Grove, MN Order: 123378 Order Type : Temp To Full-Time Now Hiring: CNC Lathe Set Up Operator Location: Maple Grove, MN Shift: 6:45am - 4:00pm, Monday - Thursday 6:45am-12pm Fridays Pay: $25-$40/hr Depending on Experience Employment Type: Full time, trial to hire! About this Opportunity: Atlas Staffing has partnered with a growing manufacturer of machined and assembled components using the CNC machine technologies including Swiss CNC, Mori Seiki Lathes and Mills. Our client is looking for experienced lathe operator to operate and maintain CNC equipment. As a CNC Lathe Set Up Operator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints and performing quality checks on the final product. You may also be required to troubleshoot any machine issues that arise during the manufacturing process. What You'll Be Doing: • Sets Up, edit programs, and run parts on CNC Lathes with Fanuc controls (G and M Code) • Reads and interprets technical drawings / Blueprints • Implements and maintains set up sheets for Manufacturing • Validates the NC code generated from the CNC program • Understanding of work holding • Collaborates with Engineering, set-up techs, and Machinists on new product Introduction and continuous improvement activities • Troubleshoots and resolves programming and machining problems as they arise • Assists Engineering/ Manufacturing / Quoting as needed Qualifications and Skills Qualifications and skills: • High school diploma or GED • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Set Up Operator, programming a plus • Ability to read and interpret design blueprints • Understanding of the different tooling types, speeds, and feeds • ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System • Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline Physical Demands: • Continuous mental and visual attention is needed. • Sit, Stand, talk and hear for the full shift • Lift up to 50 lbs • Ability to wear personal protective equipment Why work with our client? 401k, Health Vision, Dental, PTO, HSA Short- Term disability, accident insurance, critical insurance Work for a trusted company Growth opportunities within!
