Position Overview We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Sonography / Ultrasound Technologist to join our enthusiastic imaging team that prioritizes outstanding patient care. With access to cutting-edge ultrasound technology, you'll be responsible for performing various diagnostic procedures, working hand-in-hand with a caring group of healthcare professionals to deliver accurate, timely imaging that reassures patients during critical moments. Description of Responsibilities Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging. Ensure patients feel comfortable and safe throughout their procedures by providing clear explanations and compassionate support. Collaborate effectively with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure diagnostic images uphold the highest standards. Properly operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly addressing any issues that may arise. Thoroughly document procedures and maintain accuracy in patient records within the electronic medical system. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices. Education Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a similar field. Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is highly desirable. Certifications Required Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or a similar credential. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred. Skills Needed Proficient technical skills in sonographic imaging and patient positioning. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Capable of working autonomously while also being an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
