As part of the HDI AI Platform team, you will contribute to a platform dedicated to AI/ML model development, generative AI applications, and ML operations. Your expertise will help integrate AI/ML models into Oracle Health products, providing actionable intelligence in user-friendly workflows. Responsibilities What You Will Do Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable AI/ML applications and models leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to deliver groundbreaking AI/ML solutions. Ensure data quality, governance, and ethical practices throughout the AI/ML lifecycle. Stay updated with emerging AI/ML advancements (e.g., LLMs, RAG) and incorporate relevant innovations into our systems. Promote the adoption of AI/ML technologies and best practices across all teams. Mentor and support the development of fellow engineers on the team. Contribute to the design and review of technical architecture across the HDI organization. Balance product feature development with operational responsibilities, including creating run books, automation, and structured logging for metrics and events. Engage in on-call support for team services and promptly resolve any arising issues. Qualifications You are proficient in Python. You have architect-level experience in Data Science and/or Machine Learning, with added experience in AI Agents, LLMs, or Vector databases being a significant advantage. You possess experience with distributed systems at a cloud service provider. You are familiar with at least one relational or NoSQL database. You have demonstrated experience in building highly available services and have knowledge of service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols. You understand components of modern infrastructure, including service discovery, secret storage, and software-defined networking. You have a solid background in production operations, employing best practices for deploying quality code and troubleshooting issues effectively. You take initiative and accountability for delivering complex software through effective teamwork and collaboration.
