Job summary Job description/Responsibilities: PER-DIEM MULTIPLE SHIFTS APPROXIMATE PAY RANGE: $46.51 - $57.20 POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision is responsible for providing optimal nutritional care to patients, which complies with the Joint Commission and title 22 regulations and the standards of care in the dietetic profession. Responsible for the medical nutrition therapy of patient/residents; nutritional assessment, nutrition care plans, patient visitation, inpatient/outpatient diet counseling, consults regarding advance nutrition support, as well as assist in other areas related to the Food and Nutrition Services Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Performs nutritional assessments and nutrition screens, which are appropriate and timely per established policies and procedures. Develops nutrition care plans and monitors patient response to care plan developed. Provides inpatient discharge diet instructions. The candidate must as required within the clinical and food service areas, conduct in-services, as required. Provides diet consultations as ordered by physicians. Attends dietitian's meetings and Food Nutritional Services department meetings. Collaborates with FNS staff, physicians, and nursing to deliver quality nutrition care. Other Duties: Visits patients with special dietary needs. Documents clinical and food and nutrition productivity. Provides billing for patient nutritional services. Provides needed in-services as assigned. Aides food service staff tray line and audits Assists diet technicians in updating TF rands as required. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the RD lead, food service supervisor, or director. As requested participates in teaching for community education classes or participates in health fairs Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Food & Nutrition Required Qualification: License/Certification Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required. CNSC or CDE Certification Highly desirable Proof of required License(s) and/or Certification(s) due at time of hire Education Nutrition/Dietetics Graduate CNSD Certification and/or MS highly desirable Proof of required educational level(s) due at time of hire Experience Minimum six (6) months experience in an acute care hospital Skills Hospital MSA system Good organizational and interpersonal skills Strong oral and written communication skills Thee employee must demonstrate basic computer skills No Referrals or Candidates Accepted from Recruiters or Agencies.
