Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry | House Supervisors (Float Pool) Location: West Allis, WI Facility: 277-Bed Acute Care Hospital Shift: 12-Hour Nights | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Contract Length: 13 Weeks Schedule Cycle: 6 Weeks About the Facility Address: 8901 W. Lincoln Ave, West Allis, WI 53227 Level IV Trauma Center Level III NICU Primary Stroke Center Free onsite parking Unit Overview - Float Pool This role is part of the House Supervisor-assigned Float Pool , supporting Telemetry and Med/Surg units based on hospital needs. Assignments are provided by the House Supervisor at the start of each shift. Nurses must be flexible and comfortable floating across multiple units. Patient Population Adult Telemetry & Med/Surg patients Centralized telemetry monitoring with dedicated tele tech support Patient Ratios Varies by unit and staffing Average up to 1:6 Required Experience & Certifications Minimum 2 years of recent RN Med/Surg experience BLS (AHA) - required NIHSS - required ACLS - preferred First-time travelers accepted Required Skills Tracheostomy care Chest tubes Reading & interpreting cardiac rhythm strips Medication drips: Lasix, Insulin, Heparin Wound vac management Technology & Equipment EMR: EPIC (required) IV Pumps: Alaris Medication Dispensing: Pyxis Central telemetry monitoring Support on the Unit CNAs / Techs HUCs Experienced RNs Charge Nurse Rapid Response Team Phlebotomy for peripheral lab draws Floating Expectations Float to any Med/Surg or Telemetry unit Assignment determined by the House Supervisor Scheduling Details Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend Holidays: Every other major holiday On-Call: None Orientation: 1 shift Time Off (RTO) Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved if the traveler is willing to extend the contract to accommodate Additional Information Scrub Color: Any solid color (no logos) Parking: Free
