Steel Detailer

Structural Steel DetailerGalvanizers Inc. is looking for a mid-level, motivated Structural Detailer to join our team. The detailer will convert the structural engineer's design into a comprehensive Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) for the fabrication shop. RESPONSIBILITIES Extracts the final, detailed BOM from drawings, ensuring that all pieces are accounted for, including, but not limited to: beams, columns, bracing, and connection plates - accuracy is vital. Quantity VerificationVerifies that the quantities listed in the BOM match the detailed drawings to prevent shortages or overages.? KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES Strong skills in material identification. Strong organizational skills. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Understand and follow oral and written directions. Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric). Ability to work with others. Ability to interpret Blueprints/Structural Drawings. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work. Ability to identify and resolve issues and conflicts efficiently. Ability to prioritize ensuring all timelines and deadlines are met. Other Duties as Assigned. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED Required Secondary Education Helpful but not required. EXPERIENCE - Preferred One (1) year of Steel Fabrication REQUIRED COMPETENCIES/QUALITIES/SKILLSAccountability: Ability to accept responsibility & account for his/her actions. Accuracy: Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with attention to detail a must. Honesty/Integrity - Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace. Reliability/Punctual: The trait of being dependable and trustworthy SCHEDULE:Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Closed Fridays Compensation $23 - $25 per hour
