Evaluate test results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance as well as calibration on laboratory equipment. Support with specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as necessary. Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and contribute to maintaining lab quality standards. Uphold a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation standards. Education Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or a comparable allied health degree, alongside ASCP/AMT certification preparation. Certifications Hold or attain the ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within one year of employment. Continue to maintain certification for the duration of employment. Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective teamwork within healthcare settings.
