Mobile Device Test Automation Engineer

Job DescriptionGreetings from Smartwork IT Services! We are seeking a Mobile Device Test Automation Engineer for one of our valuable clients. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in mobile device testing, test automation, and wireless technologies, with hands-on exposure to LTE and 5G RF and Core networks. Role: Mobile Device Test Automation Engineer Location: Philadelphia, PA Experience: 8 Years Key Responsibilities: Perform mobile device test automation using tools such as Spirent or Eggplant Execute functional, regression, and performance testing on mobile devices Manage activation and deactivation of test samples Compile and analyze test results data to identify issues and trends Collect and analyze logs using tools such as QXDM or XCAL Perform issue investigation, root cause analysis, and provide detailed findings Prepare and deliver engineering reports to OEMs and other fix agents Work closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD and automation workflows Utilize JIRA and Confluence for defect tracking, documentation, and reporting Ensure effective communication with cross-functional and global teams Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in product development and/or technology management roles 3+ years of experience in mobile and/or wireless technologies Strong understanding of LTE and 5G RF and Core technologies Hands-on experience with Mobile Device Test Automation tools (Spirent or Eggplant) Knowledge of DevOps practices Experience with log collection and analysis tools (QXDM, XCAL) Excellent communication and documentation skills Strong experience using JIRA and Confluence Nice to Have: Experience working directly with OEMs and chipset vendors Exposure to large-scale mobile device certification programs Understanding of end-to-end mobile network architecture and workflows
