Security/Access Control Technicians

Job Title: Security Technician Job Length: Contract-to-Hire Job Location: Greenville, SC Start Date: ASAP (Pending Client Approval) Pay: W2 Format - Direct Deposit or Check weekly every Friday Pay Rate: $22-28/hr based on experience/qualifications Job Description: • Install, program, and service commercial electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems • Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of existing security equipment to ensure proper system functionality • Test, troubleshoot, and verify operation of cameras, card readers, sensors, control panels, and associated wiring • Mount and secure control panels, field devices, video cameras, and related hardware in accordance with manufacturer and site specification • Commission newly installed systems, confirm proper performance, and provide basic end-user instruction on system operation • Run, route, terminate, and label low-voltage wiring, including Cat5e/Cat6 cabling, in commercial environments • Install and connect monitors, recording devices, and supporting network or power components • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe job site at the end of each shift • Work efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines • Follow all company safety practices, site security procedures, and applicable industry standards • Other duties as assigned. Requirements: • Prior hands-on experience installing, programming, or servicing commercial security, CCTV, or access control systems • Familiarity with low-voltage wiring methods, device mounting, and basic system troubleshooting • Ability to safely use standard hand tools required for installation and service work • Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn on all job sites Upon meeting eligibility criteria, Verigent offers the following benefits: • Paid Time Off (PTO) - Eligible after 1200 hours worked • Paid holidays - Eligible after 690 hours worked • 401K - Eligible the first of the quarter after 90 days of employment • Medical, dental and other additional voluntary benefits - Eligible the first of the month after 60 days of employment Essential Functions of the job: • Lifting, carrying, adjusting, moving and/or transporting of objects up to 50 pounds • Walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, maintaining balance and/or crawling for extended periods • Pushing and pulling of arms and legs; use of abdominal and lower back muscles • Coordinating movements of the eyes, hands, fingers and feet • Ascending and descending of stairs, ladders, lifts, etc. • Speaking, hearing and seeing to avoid safety hazards • Strenuous manual labor The environment for this job will involve: • Indoor and/or outdoor elements • Hot and/or cold temperatures • Uneven terrain and/or obstacles • Interactions with other individuals • Loud noises • Large machinery • Small and/or enclosed spaces Job description is subject to change at supervisor's discretion at any time.
